Carla Sue Kingery's Story
I started school in Oklahoma City where I was born. Then finished elementary school in Albuquerque then started Jr High in Santa Fe at Harrington and on to graduate from Santa Fe High in 1957. I have always been thankful for my school days and life living in Santa Fe. To me it was a special place to grow up in the 50''s. Married and then divorced but so thankful for my beautiful daughter from that marriage. Married again moved to Texas and lived in California and back to Texas again then to Oklahoma City, where I was widowed with two children. Now married and loving retirement we have had a wonderful life together with rainsing my kids. We now have two beautiful ganddaughters who have given us five great grandchildren. years in Santa Fe. I did work in my life for several busienesses.. in school I worked for Sweetbrair right off the plaza, Avis rent a car at the airport (mostly)for Paul Ragle, then didn't work again till I was widowed and went to work for Continental Ailrines in Oklahoma City. After marrying again I bought a dress shop with a dear friend then had a PR business on my own working for numerous companies. We have traveled a lot since retirment and i enjoy seeing the places in the USA via Motor Home after flying over most all of the USA for many years. We owned our own business parts for Model A's .. we love old cars and continue to enjoy them. Oh, one last thing is I met and married my husband of right at 40 years when he bought a house across the street from my home. Our first date was in a 1929 Model A touring car that he had fully restored.
